Meet Steven L. Rosenblatt, MD, PhD, L.Ac.
Steven L. Rosenblatt, M.D., PhD, L.Ac, is licensed as a medical doctor in California and Hawaii. He completed his residency training in Family Practice at Kaiser Hospital in Riverside, California, and is currently board certified in Urgent Care Medicine. Dr. Rosenblatt earned a PhD in research from UCLA before attending the prestigious Hong Kong Acupuncture College, becoming the first Westerner licensed to practice acupuncture in the United States.
Dr. Rosenblatt was the Founder and past President of the California Acupuncture College. He also co-founded and served as the Clinical Director of the UCLA Acupuncture Clinic. He holds National Board Certification in both Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
As an accomplished author, Dr. Rosenblatt has written several research articles and is the author of the best-selling book "The Starch Blocker Diet," published by HarperCollins. His most recent book, "The Birth of Acupuncture in America: The White Crane’s Gift," was published by Balboa Books.

He has served as a commissioner on the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and recently completed a term as a board member on the State of Hawaii Acupuncture Board.
He maintains a busy clinical practice that combines Family Practice medicine with complementary modalities at his office in West Los Angeles and at OceanMed Clinic on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island in Hawaii. Dr. Rosenblatt is also on staff at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica.
